SMS Terms and Conditions
Legal Aid Chicago uses text messaging (“SMS”) to share important updates, reminders, and information with clients and community members who have chosen to receive these messages. By opting to receive text messages from us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
We will send you information such as:
- Appointment reminders, updates, or alerts related to your case or our services;
- Information about programs, events, or legal rights that may affect you;
- Communications about scheduling or service availability; or
- Other communications and outreach.
You will only receive text messages if you have provided your mobile phone number to us and you consent to receive text messages from us.
You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting us directly. After opting out, you will no longer receive text messages unless you re-enroll.
Message frequency will vary depending on your relationship with us and the services you receive. Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
SMS text messages are supported by most major U.S. carriers. Legal Aid Chicago and the mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery may depend on your mobile carrier’s network.
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our SMS Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. If we make significant changes, we will post the revised terms and conditions on our website and update the “Last Revised” date below.
