At noon on Monday, October 21st, Legal Aid Chicago hosted an online panel discussion highlighting our recent appellate court victory in Martinez v. Leon. This outcome is a significant win for survivors of domestic violence in Cook County and beyond.
Managing Director Benna Crawford facilitated this conversation, exploring this case and its impact. In addition to our colleague Araceli Guasso, panelists represented Dentons, The Network, and Women Employed. This event is an important feature in our Domestic Violence Awareness Month programming and helps us kick-off Pro Bono Week, which takes place from October 21st to the 29th.
