Legal Aid Chicago’s Ambassadors Board represents a dynamic group of professionals who are passionate about equal justice for all. We offer opportunities for pro bono volunteer service, continuing education, networking, community outreach, and advocacy on behalf of low-income people in Cook County who may lack access to an attorney for their civil legal needs.
The Ambassadors Board organizes a fundraising event called Justice Is Served every fall, and also hosts fun networking events throughout the year. We have over 75 members, from over 50 law firms and companies throughout Chicago, and we are always looking for more members to join.

The requirements to become a member are simple!

Each member is expected to fulfill the following four obligations:

  1. Every member makes an annual donation: $100 for professionals (many times employers cover this) and $25 for students.
  2. There are four annual meetings that members can attend in person or virtually.
  3. Beyond that, members become active on a subcommittee, support Legal Aid Chicago events and programming, and participate in the AB’s annual fundraiser, Justice Is Served on Friday, September 20, 2024.
  4. And most importantly, AB members serve as ambassadors on behalf of Legal Aid Chicago, sharing and educating their friends, families, and co-workers about the work Legal Aid Chicago does for the Cook County community.
Event Co-Chairs, Brent Nicholson and Zack Kelsey served as MCs for Justice is Served 2022’s Silent Auction.
